TECH RIDER

When performing in Ontario, we are pleased to offer our own PA system, sound equipment, and instruments. Please inform us in advance if the venue provides a good PA sound system that will be set up beforehand, as well as if there is stage lighting available. A stage is not required, but we do require two small chairs in the stage area and a small table. We need access to electrical power or outlets.

Sound Equipment:

  • Drum kit with appropriate hardware (cymbal stands, kick pedal, etc.).

  • Amplifiers for guitar and bass (if not provided by the venue).

  • Keyboard and stand (if applicable).

  • Music stands with lights for sheet music (if needed).

Backline:

  • Drum kit with appropriate hardware (cymbal stands, kick pedal, etc.).

  • Amplifiers for guitar and bass (if not provided by the venue).

  • Keyboard and stand (if applicable).

  • Music stands with lights for sheet music (if needed).

Stage Setup:

  • Stage size and layout suitable for a small band.

  • Adequate lighting for performers (including stage and music stands).

  • Power outlets near each performer for instrument amplifiers and other equipment.

  • Stage lighting is extra.

Technical Personnel:

  • Sound engineer familiar with jazz band setups.

  • Stagehands for setup and teardown (if not provided by the venue).

Miscellaneous:

Piano tuning (if applicable). Backstage area for band members (if applicable). Bottled water and refreshments for band members during breaks. Parking for band vehicles (if applicable). Special Requests: Some band members may have eating restrictions. Load-In and Load-Out Times: Specify the times the band requires access to the venue for setup and soundcheck, as well as the time needed for teardown after the performance.
